Now to introduce one of my favorite designers of quilt patterns, which I'm sure many of you already know, Kate Conklin!! Kate has some of the most amazing quilt patterns, from her new "Sea Views" to the sweet "Wonky Donkey" that captured my heart!! I can't wait to see all the new patterns she creates in the future!!
last week i had the pleasure to spend an afternoon with my sweet sil and teach her how to sew. it was her first time at the sewing machine, and she picked up on everything so quickly. we made a simple little patchwork pillow, and it turned out F A B U L O U S!! we used the oh so yummy, early bird fabric from cosmo cricket! i just love how it turned out. i think i enjoyed our little sewing adventure just as much as she did!

the hexies are hand stitched together, and then i appliqued them on. for the quilting, i free motion quilted the seedlings.

a little hiding gnomie that i started stitching up yesterday for a little mini with a row of hexies! :)
