little red riding hood!

As most know, I adore Little Red Riding Hood!! Luckily for me there is so much inspiration on flickr, etsy, and the web of cute things I can make. With my daughter being a bit crazed over dolls at the moment (that is all she wanted for Christmas this year), I knew I wanted to get her a cute handmade one for her Birthday. Then seeing Charla Anne's cutie dolls inspired by Little Red Riding Hood and falling in love with the sweet Olivia, I just had to make one, especially after she sold Olivia and Charla Anne mentioned she wasn't going to be making another. After all, my sweet Savannah was Little Red Riding Hood for Halloween, so off to the sewing table it was! ;)

I used Charla Anne's and Katy's dolls as inspiration and went from there. With a doll pattern I already had, I tweeked it a little here and a little there, enlarged it and came up with a sweet Little Red Riding Hood doll for my daughter. It was so much fun to make, and I'm so excited to give it to her for her Birthday!! I hope she loves it as much as I do!!

Did you notice the cute little lace trim? It is a little secret, I added it to cover up some flaws when I stitched the legs in!! ;) Also, the cute apron is made out of the new Lecien, Flower Sugar, and adorned with some cute embellishment flowers and buttons from my shop!! I just got the Flower Sugar in and will be adding it to my shop today or tomorrow!

I think I'll be making some more cute dolls in the future!! I really do enjoy it!! If you haven't tried, you should!! But they can be addicting!! ;) Now, off to make my sweetie a cute matching apron for her party!!
