happily stitched

I have to say, I LOVE stitching by hand! It is so soothing, and you can take it with you anywhere you go. Whether it is in the car, at a family members house, or at my kiddos ice skating lessons, I just love bringing it along to keep me busy.

Lately I've finished two stitchery's. The first is my piece to give inspiration for my group in the Hoop up! Stitch & Send Swap. I chose as my theme~ little red riding hood and her forest friends. The little red was inspired by a Japanese fabric, and the cute little hedgie is from one of Ariel's art pieces she did for me. Thanks Ariel, for letting me use him in my embroidery. :)

The second is for Jessica aka Twinfibers. She sent a letter to each member from her son's name, and I received an M. We were all asked to pick an animal that starts with our letter. I did a cute little mouse on a mushroom. I just love how he turned out!!

Jessica, I hope your little guy enjoys his new little mouse friend.

Happy Tuesday!

  16. I love them both! You should switch teams to the dark side and start sewing everything by hand! Then we can be twins.
