great granny sew along & giveaway!



Welcome to my blog!  I'm so excited to be part of Lori' of Bee in My Bonnet's lovely sew along again, hosted by the Fat Quarter Shop!   I adore Lori's sweet new book The Great Granny Squared.


For the sew along we are making the sweet sampler Mama's Crochet Quilt, and this week we'll be sewing the yarn and crochet hook block.


For the instructions go here, and turn to page 22 in your Great Granny Square book.  Now lets get our supplies ready.


My pieces are cut and I'm ready to sew!


My six snowball blocks.  Aren't they so cute!!


And my gingham crochet hook.  :)


I had sew much fun making this sweet block!  Now I need to catch up and make last weeks basket block.

    Thanks for giving us all the chance to win Lori's new book. I am currently putting the binding on a quilt top that my daughter made me for Christmas. It was her first attempt and quite good actually. I am now looking for summer projects and this would be perfect.
