i heart etsy!

I got the best package yesterday that I have been anticipating, the most beautiful afghan. A few weeks ago I contacted Janet, an etsy seller, and asked if she would make a custom afghan for me. Last winter I had seen a wip of one with the same pattern on flickr, shortly after I went and got all the supplies and a dvd from the library to learn how to crochet. Then I opened my etsy shop and didn’t have time to commit to learning. Hopefully in the up coming years I’ll be able to learn this amazing art, but for now, am sooo excited to have this beautiful afghan.

Janet also made me some coasters, washcloths and a pot holder! THANKS!!

Off to go snuggle under my new afghan and stitch away. :)

  1. LOOOOOOOOOVE it! and I know exactly which afghan you are talking about too! I have it saved to my favorites on flickr. It was that same afghan that inspired MY aqua and red afghan =0)

  2. Gorgeous! I love to crochet... but I usually feel guilty for not being at my sewing machine instead. I don't actually own one of my own afghans yet... still trying to make one for everyone in my family, haha. I should whip one up for my living room this winter!

it looks like it is sold out right now, but i would conact her. i'm sure she has more since it is a pdf file that she emails you. it is the cutest, and you get 5 pages with 7 really cute designs for only $6.00.
