Have you seen these cute little mushrooms, Cathy designed? I fell in love with them when I saw them on her flickr page months ago, and now they are in the cutest book Fa la la la Felt, by Lark books as an ornament pattern.
Amanda Carestio the Author and editorial assistant at Lark emailed me with the pattern since she was my partner for the place mat swap last summer, and thought I would enjoy making them. She also mentioned that I can pass them along to anyone else that would like them since Lark books is giving the holiday toadstools pattern for free. Either you can email me (just leave a comment with your email address), and I can email you one or feel free to use the link to be able to download it yourself.

I have the cute little Christmas trees on my list for sure, and of course love how Cathy made them in red and aqua and to top it off they have cute little mushrooms on them! I received the most wonderful package yesterday, the sweetest pillow from Amy! I literally squealed when I saw it, when I realized it was mine, the one I was sooo hoping for! After being sick all day, it was the best thing to lift my spirits!! The best part is knowing that Amy put so much thought into this pillow, I am completely breathless! From every fabric choice, to the little girl holding the gnome that she had MultiplePersonality specially have printed into fabric. I have this exact print in my etsy favorites, so to see it made into a fabric and then put into a pillow just for me is one of the kindest, most thoughtful things anyone has done. I can't stop marvelling over this absolutely perfect pillow!!
I wish I could express my deepest THANKS to Amy in a way to tell her how much this sweet pillow means to me! THANK you soooo much, my dear friend!!

I now have my little piece all stitched, and ready to be put into a mini quilt. I was originally planning on doing a couple more to add to the quilt but I'm thinking now I really want this to be the area of focus since I really love how it turned out. Any suggestions on what pattern would really help this stand out?

I finished my hand stitched piece for heather, and just in time for the deadline that is tomorrow. It will be on it's way in the morning. :) Since Heather and I are both so new to embroidery (my second piece) we had asked to be matched up. She mentioned that she loved the bike pattern from sublime stitching, and it seemed like a great one that would help me learn a couple new stitches but not be too intimidating. It was a fun piece!! Now I'm ready for some more!! I love how calm and soothing embroidery can be. It seems as though it is meditating for the mind. A must have in my fast pace life. Anything to slow me down, and give a chance to ponder all the things important in my life.
I love the little fruit and veggies!! 
The second package was from Susi! The cutest mini deer quilt!! It had to go right up on the wall in my sewing room! I love it!!

I have Susi's mini all done and packaged. It will be in the mail on Monday. It's a little late, but hopefully it will travel quickly to it's new home.
Second, for the Pillow Talk Swap, I have the lovely Flea Market Fancy, picked out. Not sure if I'll end up using a little of everything. But I think my partner will love what I have in mind. :)
And third, I have a huge mound of collars from all the Munki Munki jammies that will be perfect for a fun and bright string quilt for the Munki Munki Quilt Along. I can't wait to try out Ashely's lovely tutorial. It has been on my list for quite some time. I think the improv blocks I made last month will make nicely into a wall hanging for my sewing room.
My little guy kept crawling over all the Munki so I couldn't pass up a cute little toesie picture!
