labor day stitching

For Labor Day week-end we did a little family camping trip. There were a total of 20 of us with 12 of those being kiddos. We had LOTS of fun! I brought along a cute little embroidery project for me to work on.

It is one I pinned last week from Flickr that is from a vintage pattern.   Jamie even gave the link to the vintage embroidery patterns here.

Isn't she such an adorable happy strawberry!

I'm not sure what I should make her into?  What do you think?  I need some fresh ideas.  Or would you leave her in the hoop and hang her like that?

Happy Tuesday, my friends!

  1. Hi:

It is so cute, so.... maybe something for your kitchen?

    Costa Rica

  2. I think I'll make some scrappy patchwork border and turn it into a mini quilt. Hildy

  3. Oh she is ADORABLE!!! Leaving it in the hoop would be cute but, I think she would LOVE to get out and about!!! :) Maybe a Pocket on an Adorable Vintage Styled Apron or a Really Cute Farmers Market Bag so she could store all of her FRUITY friends in it.. :) I will have to check out the Pattern link.

  4. What an adorable and pretty strawberry! I think leaving in the hoop would be sweet for your kitchen, or even a cute small pillow!! ;) xo Heather

  5. Kerri she is darling. Looks like a darling start to a mini quilt or placemat. Smiles..Renee

  6. Soooo adorable!! Love the pretty colors! :) xo Holly

  7. this is so super cute kerri! i love how you did the aqua stripe on the diagonal for the background. glad you guys had fun on the camping trip...i wish we could have gone! maybe next year. ;)

  8. What a cute lil strawberry! Such lovely stitches.
I'm having a hard time finding the pattern though. When I clicked on the link it just re-directed me to a flickr page :(

    1. Hi Chelsea,

Thanks for your sweet words! The link is on that flickr page. There are two links right under the picture. That is how I found the pattern. :)

      Here is the strawberry~

http://www.flickr.com/photos/shanghaic/3671148781/ The strawberry is under the teapot.

      Here are the little flowers~

Though, I just free handed my flowers. :)

  9. She is just crying out for some pom pom fringe. Maybe a little pillow for a little girl's bed?

  10. She's adorable!! I am thinking maybe she should be the pocket of a cute apron!

  11. I have no idea what to do with her, but she sure is CUTE!!! Nice job! :)
