a polly pinwheel party!!

Saturday was the big day in our house!! We'd been planning, making, baking, and with that, there was lots of anticipation!! It all came together well, and Maya had a wonderful day with lots of friends, a little craft, and of course lots of sweets to eat!!

Displaying little Polly dolly, the frame I had made for the centerpiece, and a few pinwheels!! I thought it turned out really sweet!!

The polly pinwheel quilt block all framed!!

All the yumminess!!

A polly pinwheels cake!! Lynne from Sweetiepie Caketopper Shop made the amazingly adorable cake topper as sweet little Polly Pinwheels that my creative friend Ariel illustrated! Isn't it just so sweet!!

Yummy cake pops!! I had one a couple weeks ago for the first time, and when I found out how easy they are to make, they went right on my list for party treats!! I thought it was a nice substitute for cupcakes too! The cute decorated tub I got from Emily of brodyandma and it worked great for displaying the cake pops!!

For the activity, we made cute little felt pinwheel hair clips!! The girls had so much fun making them, and with it being a pretty simple craft, it really worked great for the time we had!!

All the pretty pinwheel hair clips!!

The girls showing their hair clips!

Pinwheel goodie bags!!

Maya after the party! Such a pretty happy girl!! I love you, Maya!!

I really had lots of fun planning and preparing for the party!! I thought before I'd probably not do another big one after this, but I truly have such a wonderful time doing the parties that if they want one, I don't think I could say no. It must be seeing it all come together after all the planning, and then to have them so happy, it really makes it all worth it!! And, it really is so much fun creating!! :)

Now, I think I need a nice cool lemonade while I sit and enjoy the sun for a few hours!! Then back to work!! :)

Happy Monday to all my friends, see you in a couple days, since I have been doing other sewing too to show you!!

  11. Kerri,

I LOVE THIS - (just now able to catch up on my blog subs since computer was "sick") - did you use the Martha Stewart Pinwheel tutorial you posted before to make the hair clips? Any modifications to the tutorial? Or did you not use it? I would just LOVE LOVE LOVE to make these for some sweet baby girls in my Sunday School class!

    THANK YOU!
